Chemicals or ingredients to avoid in food or personal products.


Ok, so once I have to time to make a post I want to make more lol. So I thought I'd write a post about food today too! Ever since getting sick, I started to question everything I used and eat. I research one thing which sets me off an a whole new branch of things to research. After having cancer and research for hrs, I now diligently try to stay away from the following chemicals or ingredients that are in food and every day products which are very toxic for you and your loved ones.

Sorry I have not posted the rest of the inspiration boards for the home. I had been getting ready to travel home and settling back into normalcy in a sense here. I will be posting one this afternoon along with setting up the rest of them. I am so going to try to find the ingredients for homemade deodorant and toothpaste this weekend so I can start back up Tutorial Tuesdays on the 26th! As next Wednesday is my birthday I will probably just set up a picture post of my lovely family that I am so thankful for. I hope you all have a great day today and a good weekend!

Great News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I am so excited I could shout it from the rooftops!!!! Since having been diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2009 I have had a huge weight problem with not being able to keep weight on unless I was pregnant. I have been just 95 lbs since until now. Now here's for the amazing news!!!!!!!

Inspiration Boards for my home : Entryway



So I thought I would make some "idea boards" for my home. One for each room/area of my home that I have gotten inspiration for. A lot of the things will be done DIY as I love being crafty, its cheaper and it makes me feel amazing to be able to create beautiful things from nothing. For the next 7-8 days I will daily post an "idea board" full of pictures with links to the sites of things and aspects I would like to incorporate into my home. Rhythms and Randomness.


Lately I've been thinking a lot about how I switched over the tons of bad foods and chemicals in our house. Because of my cancer I had an epiphany and just jumped right into making huge changes in the aspects of food, health and home. Which worked but also didn't work in a way. Without doing the research on changing our food, it ends up being more expensive due to not having a plan. Without a meal plan its very easy to get discouraged and turn to take out instead of healthy home cooked meals. But it worked with getting rid of all the chemicals out of our house. As I've been learning more by researching I've been changing more.

Pushing through the hurdles surrounding goals.


Here is day 2 of goal updates! With little bud waking up way too early for me, I've been exhausted all day and seem to be having a down day.  I definitely wanted to give into sleep and stress tonight instead of doing yoga, but pushing through it all made me feel more accomplished than just running through the motions of doing it normally.  Working toward goals with hurdles isn't easy but when you get over those hurdles, you feel a sense of elation and it makes it a little easier to keep going on your goals.

Working toward my goals.


So I thought I would post a small post once a day about working toward my goals. Last night after my boys went to bed, I did 40 minutes of yoga and 40 crunches with my mom. Always helps to have someone to exercise with to help keep you motivated. Yoga has been good for me with helping me to de-stress and handle the boys better.

My goals for week 1 of the 31 Days of Better Health and Wellness Challenge!


I surprised my family here in WI and came to visit for a month! I love to surprise them and am so excited to be able to spend time with them all as I'm only able to see them once a year or so. Well I'm here with my boys in WI, I'll be working on a better and  healthier me for the 31 days of Better Health and Wellness Challenge along with researching and planning the better and healthier home and food aspects of the challenge.
