Working toward my goals.

So I thought I would post a small post once a day about working toward my goals. Last night after my boys went to bed, I did 40 minutes of yoga and 40 crunches with my mom. Always helps to have someone to exercise with to help keep you motivated. Yoga has been good for me with helping me to de-stress and handle the boys better.

I have found it very relaxing as long as I am able to do it without interruptions from the boys. So yoga in turn has helped me a little bit with my goal of being a more peaceful and patient mom. I'm also realizing that I can only do so much so instead of "going big or going home", I'm working on doing things in small steps. Breaking down tasks or projects also helps with not getting overwhelmed and stressed.

When I return home, I will be implementing the plans and goals that I will be setting up. Until then I will continue to work on the goals I can do here. I want to get a plan set up for taking small steps when home to make more real foods that are simple and easy to keep up with, so that its not all or nothing. As lately it had been nothing because I was so overwhelmed by trying to do it all. Small steps will also making cleaning and organizing my house work better and faster.

Setting achievable goals and working on them has made me feel like I am taking time to care for myself even with the chaos of the boys and every day life. I also hope that by the boys seeing me make goals and constantly working to improve every day aspect will help them later on in life. I am heading off to do my yoga for the day and a small workout with weights.

What achievable goals have you set for yourself? In what ways are you working to improve your daily life and the life of your loved ones?
